Heatherslaw Light Railway 15 inch

Built over the Winter of 1988/89, the line was the brainchild of Neville Smith. The railway runs along the banks of the River Till, with trains commencing at Heatherslaw Station, which is adjacient to the Heatherslaw Cornmill and is home to the railways sheds, workshops and model railway club. The journey terminates at Etal Station, next to English Heritage property 'Etal Castle', where there are run round facilities. Trains are pulled by Bunty or the new diesel shunter on quieter days, with all carriage stock having been built in house.
